Surgeries frequently performed in pain treatment are as follows: Trigeminal radiofrequency rhizotomy (RF) and microvascular decompression in trigeminal neuralgia; Cordotomy in cancer pain; Spinal cord stimulation (lumbar pacemaker) in pain after failed back surgery; In neuropathic pain, types of surgery such as spinal cord-DREZ surgery and spinal cord stimulation (lumbar pacemaker) can be beneficial.
