Movement Disorders
Involuntary movement disorders develop due to disorders in the extrapyramidal system and nuclei of the brain for various reasons. The most common movement disorder diseases are Parkinson's disease, tremor (shaking) and dystonia (involuntary contractions). When drug therapy is insufficient in the treatment of these diseases, various neurosurgical operations can be beneficial to varying degrees.
