Cancer Pain

Cancer and malignant tumors often cause more or less pain depending on their location. This type of pain can be treated with painkillers at the beginning. However, in some cases, very severe pain that is resistant to all types of treatment occurs. In this case, some surgical treatment methods can reduce the patient's pain and improve their quality of life. Cancer pains that respond best to surgical treatment are: mesothelioma, lung cancer, shoulder-arm, hip and leg cancer pains. The main ones of these surgeries are: cordotomy, morphine pump placement, DREZ surgery and cingulotomy.
